Located
near Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Townsend, The Pigeon River is the
perfect, white water trip for families and youth groups visiting the
Smokies.
The upper Pigeon is an exciting
Class IV run of the river and suitable for ages 8 and up. The lower
Pigeon is a gentle, low risk, white water introduction for 4 years and
up. Both upper and lower trips are run with a qualified,
trained guide in each self bailing raft.
Dam-controlled
water release days are Tues, "Wed, Thurs and Saturday. Trip times
start at 10:30am. Non release days are run in Thrillkats on the Upper
Pigeon, (minimum age 15) Have a blast maneuvering your own single-man
boat.
